The computer technician says, that probably the problem - the m/c was made for Vista and not XP. It came pre-installed with Windows Vista, but I paid extra to be able to downgrade to XP. On re-installing the OS, the problem was fixed. After a few days, the problem re-occurred. He couldn't figure out what the problem was, and reinstalled XP. I then took it to a computer technician to get it resolved. ![]() I had SP3, but then tried downgrading to SP2 and SP1. I'm using SoundMax Integrated HD Digital Audio. ![]() When I go into Device Manager, I see no problem with the installed driver, and it is updated as well. The sound just goes off one day, and I'm not sure what the problem is.
